|I created this web site to share with you some of the resources I've created over the years for the D&D/d20 and MERP RPGs. I've played D&D practically since the begining (my brother bought the Blue Box), but I don't get to play too much anymore, since my sons have acquired lives of their own. But that doesn't mean I've lost all interest! And MERP and the works of J.R.R.Tolkien will always be a hobby of mine - I've got a large collection of the original ICE MERP books, well-used.
Posting of new items has bogged down a bit, but I plan to continue to work on items as time permits (bet you've heard that one before!). If you like any of this material, please let me know - the more the interest, the more priority I'll give to it. If you really don't like anything - well, there's a link for you, too. Happy gaming! -VJS
2020-07-11: Updates to "Forge of the Petty-dwarves (Revised Edition)" and "The Sacrifice (Revised Edition)"; both are almost complete, and will probably become final releases unless comments change that. NEW: "The Spire (Revised Edition)" (Draft). Constructive comments welcome.
04-22-2020: After a really long hiatus, work has resumed on some items, starting with an update to the MERP Fan Modules adventures "The Evil in House Aludor", and "Forge of the Petty-dwarves" and it's long-lost sequel "The Sacrifice". Find the Beta releases on the MERP page. Look for more soon!
1-23-2008: Still working (slowly) on the Family Business graphics...meanwhile, so many visitors have demanded (literally) a change to the background image of this page that I finally had to do something about it - hopefully, visitors will find the new background more visually pleasing than the old template, which apparently was so bright that it was burning some retinas. The new image was created with the 3D fractal terrain generator TerraForm, an open-source alternative to TerraGen, and POVRay.
10-9-2007: After a long hiatus, work has resumed on some items, starting with the unfinished additional graphics for the MERP adventure "Family Business". Look for more soon!
Also, I've been working on something else, not quite RPG but still gaming: a new modpack for the PC strategy game FreeCiv, an open-source clone of Sid Meier's Civilization II. Called "The Ancient Mediterranean", this modpack aims to be the definitive FreeCiv modpack for the ancient genre. It will be available here soon. Frodo Lives! -VJS
